Welcome to the Over 50s Ballroom Dancing Club

OFBDC is, undoubtedly, Perth’s best ballroom and new vogue dance club for seniors in WA.

We hold dances on Thursdays at two venues to accommodate members living North and South of the river.

With a committee of 8 members and a small team of volunteers we have encouraged seniors in Perth to dance for well over 30 years.

In addition to the recognised mental and physical benefits of dancing, our club promotes companionship, friendship and provides two well-serviced venues where our dances are held each week alternating between the Cannington Exhibition Centre and the Karrinyup Leisure Centre.

We practise most of the ballroom rhythms – Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Rumba, Cha Cha, Jive. Although most of our dances are in sequence format, every week we have at least one freestyle Modern Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Jive on the weekly programme.

 Lesson 11.05 am to Midday          Social Dance 12.05 pm to 3.00 pm

Our friendly accredited dance instructor repeats and demonstrates the same dance at each venue.

        Entry $10 for Members            $15 for visitors      

Entry fee includes the lesson, free tea, coffee and biscuits for best part of the day.
